WATER TREATMENT Depending on the temperature of the water and the ambient temperature, with optimal stoking the wood-burning stove heats 8 litres of water per minute to approx. 39 degrees Celsius. This means a stoking time of approx. four hours. You should realise that stoking is a ritual that is part of “winding down”. It increases the pleasure, to achieve a hot tub with 2000 litres of water; and also to enjoy it. With a good-sized bundle of wood the water can be brought to a pleasant temperature of 39°C. As soon as the water has reached the desired temperature, you can regulate the fire with the air-inlet. Afterwards the ash and the non-combustible remains should be removed from the furnace. This can be done simply with a small shovel. But the combustion process is exceptionally efficient and hardly any ashes are left behind. | ||
![]() WATER QUALITY AND CHANGING THE WATER Water has a certain storage life. You can prolong the storage life by filtering the water for example or by adding salt. The disadvantage of adding salt is that the water cannot be re-used for the garden. Since water is relatively cheap, changing or filtering is a financial consideration. |
![]() RE-USE OF WATER You can re-use the water for the garden or to wash the car for example. We advise against using the water several times without filtering it or adding salt. |
![]() FILTERINSTALLATION MTH hanging filter installation is the most simple solution. This system skims the water, filters it and returns it back into the tub. This system only filters the water. To keep the water bactery free other solutions are needed. The filter hangs on the edge of the tub and removes easyily for the winter. |
